Elaine Punton

Manager

Hi I am Elaine—the Manager of Ovingham Under 5’s and have an excellent team who I am very proud to work with. I have worked in early years for over 25 years and have worked at the nursery since 1999. I love watching the children grow and flourish during their time with us.

When not at work, I really like spending time with my ever growing family. I especially love spending time with my boisterous grandchildren and walking my dogs along the beach near our holiday home. I am an avid football supporter, and will follow NUFC both home & away.

Wendy Taylor

Deputy Manager

Hi I am Wendy—the Deputy Manager of Ovingham Under 5’s and I love working with the staff, children and their families here at the nursery. I have over 10 years experience working with children and am very passionate about what I do. As I am responsible for the enrolment to nursery I am often the first person you will speak to.

I have 2 young children of my own, so my spare time usually involves going for outings and having fun with them and the rest of my family.

Catherine Kirkpatrick

Keyworker

Hi I am Catherine, and one of the practitioners. Ovingham Under 5’s is such a lovely community nursery, and I am proud to be part of the team. I get involved in planning all the activities. I especially love craft, and you can usually find me covered in glue or paint while we produce items to display around the setting.

I have 3 older children and we spend lots of time together as a family, enjoying days out or walking our dog. We also have a cat and a rabbit, so you will hear many stories of their adventures.

Sarah Milligan

Keyworker

Hi I am Sarah, and one of the practitioners. I love Ovingham Under 5’s. I was so impressed by the excellent staff and the care they gave my twin boys, that I really wanted to be part of the team. In the end my boys left & I stayed, gaining my level 3 in 2014.

I am very passionate about my job, I mostly enjoy that every day is different and that the children are so enthusiastic and willing to learn something new daily. One of my favourite activities is reading stories, and one of my favourite books is ‘Mog the Forgetful Cat.’

During my spare time I really like being at home with my family or going off on long walks where I get time to listen to my music.

Rebecca Loughhead

Hi I am Rebecca, one of the practitioners. I am very proud to say I work at Ovingham Under 5s as it is such a welcoming and loving environment.

I love my job as it is so different and fun everyday. I love getting involved in art and crafts.

During my spare time I enjoy photography art and going on adventures..
