FAQ

What sessions do you offer

We offer full day sessions, 6 hours in duration from 08:50 to 14:50. We also offer 3 hour half day sessions either 08:50 to 11:50 or 11:50 to 14:50.

Our school day is timed to tie in to Ovingham C of E First Schools school day, allowing parents to drop off and collect siblings at both settings.

What are your fees?

Funding is available for all eligible children:

Those not in receipt of funding, any extra hours will be charged at an hourly rate of £6.60.

 

A health snack is provided every day by the nursery, which is charged at 50p per day.

 

Plus we ask parents to buy our water bottle, milk container, sandshoe bag, book bag, and learning journal file. This comes as a one off payment of £15, payable in the child’s first term.

We accept a number of Childcare Voucher schemes as well as Tax-Free Childcare. Further information is available here.

What are your term dates?

We generally observe school term times. Please refer to our term calendar page for further information.

What are the drop-off arrangements?

Many families who attend nursery are based locally and choose to walk to nursery. However ample parking is available either kerbside outside the First School or alternatively in the large Middle School car park. Dedicated walkways provide safe walking routes through the car park. Parking in the First School car park is not permitted.

Is food provided?

MILK - Your child is entitled to receive a free carton of milk each day up until their fifth birthday. Please let us know if you would not like your child to have milk, water will then be provided.

SNACKS -A daily snack is provided to all our children each session at a cost of 50p per session.

​

DINNERS - Fresh and healthy dinners are prepared daily at the nursery. We encourage the children to join in with the food preparation, whether it be peeling, chopping or mixing the ingredients.

​

You may want to provide your own food for your child in the form of a packed lunch. Please inform a member of staff if any items need to be kept chilled or heated for lunchtime.
